Dance acrobatics is a versatile class that develops body control, flexibility, balance and strength. The cheerful and inspiring classes emphasize learning the basic skills of acrobatics, combining movements with dance and creative self-expression. Dance acrobatics offers excellent support for, for example, modern dance or gymnastics.
The approach of dance acrobatics supports the student’s holistic development by combining physical training, acrobatic technique and dance elements. The class encourages young people to explore the possibilities of the body and encourages them to challenge themselves safely. The exercises also emphasize the use of space, understanding the rhythm and dynamics of music and combining movements into sequences.
The classes introduce many basic and advanced acrobatic movements, such as somersaults and cartwheels, headstands and handstands, as well as pair and group acrobatics. Classes reinforce basic movement skills and review body movements through simple movements that prepare the body for more difficult movements.
Training is not only technical, but also spectacular and experiential. Everyone can practice at their own pace and safely learn new things through overcoming themselves and succeeding.
Equipment: Dance costume or shorts and a tight-fitting t-shirt. Bare feet.
